WE CAN LEARN FROM RUDOLPH

You know Dasher and Dancer

And Prancer and Vixen

Comet and Cupid

And Donner and Blitzen

But do you recall

The most famous reindeer of all

Most people look at the end results and don't pay attention to what it takes to achieve success.

Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer

Had a very shiny nose.

and if you ever saw him

You would even say it glows.

Rudolph had something very special that no one else possessed. This special characteristic could be seen as a strength or a liability.

All of the other reindeer

Used to laugh and call him names

They never let poor Rudolph

Play in any reindeer games

Others will criticize the uncommon but perseverance leads to success

Then one foggy Christmas Eve

Santa came to say

"Rudolph with your nose so bright

Won't you guide my sleigh tonight?"

Will you be prepared when your opportunity presents itself?

Then all the reindeer loved him

As they shouted out with glee

Rudolph the red-nose reindeer

You'll go down in history!

Will you remember the hard work, trials and tribulations that led to your success?

The famous Christmas song Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer started as a poem created by an American advertising executive called Robert May. He was requested to produce a poem that could be given away to children by the Santa Claus employed by Montgomery Ward Department Stores at Christmas. This effort was a massive success and led to approximately 2.5 million Rudolph, the red-nosed reindeer poems given away in the first year of its publication! In 1949 the singer Gene Autry recorded a musical version of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer composed by his brother in law Johnny Marks.

Robert May changed the world with a 113 word poem, sometimes we underestimate our ability to impact the world. What will you do with your 113?
