Assure you are transmitting data through Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS): Address Bar

HTTPS is a secured encrypted protocol. Also look for the yellow padlock icon for secure transmissions.

3. Always log out of your Facebook session.

Login Notification: Facebook will contact you when your account is accessed if you enable this service. Notification comes by email or text.

Motives:

Blackmail: Gambling, distraction, money, etc.

Phishing: Get personal information.

Malware: Harm computers

Imposter accounts: Harassment/ Slander.
